Repair Cafe

The Repair Cafe aims to mend household items to save them being thrown out.
Repair Cafe events are held on the second Saturday of every month (except in July and August), from 10:30 to 12:30. at The Top Club, set into the grassy banks of Louviers Road, Littlemoor, See website for more information

In March 2024, awarded the accolade of the UK "Community Group of the Year 2024" by the networking site "Nextdoor".

Radipole Park and Gardens

Radipole Park and Gardens has undergone an extensive transformation following the lottery grant in 2023. The u3a Petanque group has moved to a specially constructed area in this area.

DORSET DIGITAL CHAMPIONS

Digital Champions are a group of friendly and patient volunteers who are good at explaining computers, without using jargon, and who have an enthusiasm for all things digital and look forward to the chance to show you how it works. They offer digital support for a wide range of issues, no problem too small. They offer telephone help and face to face sessions at local libraries

DORSET COUNCIL - SHORT STAY PARKING PERMIT

The scheme allows residents to purchase a virtual permit (accessed through an app on your phone) to park in Weymouth & Dorchester Car Parks up to 2 hours at reasonable rates. SCHOOL READERS

Currently 1 our of every 4 children leave primary school without being able to read properly. To volunteer as a school reader, no experience or qualifications are necessary, just a love of reading, a spare hour or two a week during term time and a willingness to go where children need you the most in the local area.
